The Barclays Singapore Open never fails to thrill. The stellar cast of contenders from both the Asian Tour and European Tour accounts for the hotly contested title. But another reason is the challenge and unpredictability of the Sentosa Golf Club Serapong course as the battling field over the weekend.

This year, the crowds who braved the inclement weather through the week were entertained by a nail-biting finish that took two days to finish. In the end, Spaniard Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano had the experience to snatch the title from Juvic Pagunsan of the Philippines in a play-off.
