Garden Of Eden
Golf Digest has consistently voted Tanah Merah Country Club’s Garden Course as the Best Golf Course in Singapore. And who is to argue? The course, originally designed by Max Wexler in 1988, is always on the top of golfers wish list on best places to play in the region.
In the last two decades, it has welcomed the best golfers in the world, hosting tournaments like the Johnnie Walker Classic, Tiger Skins, Lexus Cup, and of course, the HSBC Women’s Champions in 2008. The picturesque layout will once again be the venue of the HSBC Women’s Champions 2009 this year.
The Garden Course as you see it today is a remodeled, refurbished design worked on by South African Phil Jacobs. Jacobs worked closely with Tanah Merah Country Club President Tan Puay Huat to craft 18 varied holes that not only challenge the golfer in terms of length, but finesse as well.
