Kiss the knees

If you struggle to maintain your balance at the finish – either because you swing too hard or you don’t transfer your weight properly – remember this three-word tip: Kiss the knees.

As you swing down and shift your weight to your left leg, your right knee should begin to turn inwards, towards the target, and get closer to your left knee..

Your left leg should be braced and stable, and you should be up on the toes of your right foot as a result of this powerful lower-body move. After impact, your right knee should actually kiss your left. If you do that, you’ll be able to hold your finish for as long as you want.
