World Golfers Championship 2009 World Finals
All the world's a stage

Golf as a unifying force saw the fruition of its spirit when the World Golfers Championship 2009 World
Finals was held in Marbella, Spain (www.worldchampionshipgolf.com) last October. Golfers from
23 countries around the world brought their clubs and top games to four of the Costa del Sol’s best
clubs to vie for the coveted title.

After four grueling rounds at the Flamingos Golf Club, Rio Real Golf Club, Santa Clara Golf Club, and Marbella Golf Club, the team from Indonesia emerged victorious with a 1187 total score for the five golfers in the team. Each team representing their countries is made up of one player from each of the five handicap division – 0-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20 and 21-25. In addition to the WGC teams, the World Golfers Invitational offered two-person teams of casual golfers making the trip a chance for top prizes as well. The team of Roksalana comprising Boyko Veronika and Movchan Olena came up tops in that division.

Singapore, the defending champions, was represented by Goh Ken Soon (0-5), Goh Thai Heong (6-10), Leong Kong Yon (11-15), Chen Yew Huat (16-20) and Yeo Yong Yan. Their 1249 total could only help them to a 17th
place this year out of the 23 WGC teams that participated.
