Audemars Piguet continued its association with the Maybank Malaysian Open for the second year in a row. They are once again the Official Timekeepers of the prestigious golf tournament. This year, Malaysia’s national open was held at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club, regarded by many as one of the best golf clubs in Malaysia. Audemars Piguet found the occasion most appropriate to present their Royal Oak Skeleton Perpetual Calendar – an impressive timepiece that houses one of the world’s thinnest self-winding movements that indicate the day, date, month, moon phases and leap year cycle. Throughout the tournament, the Swiss watchmaker welcomed brand ambassadors such as Lam Chih Bing, Shingo Katayama and Prom Meesawat into their hospitality marquee. There, AP owners got the rare chance to chat with the professional golfers personally. The highlight was surely the Audemars Piguet Corporate Golf game. Darren Clarke, a brand ambassador and proud owner of AP watches, dished out tips and advice generously at the exclusive golf clinic conducted in the morning prior to the golf game. The winner, Mr Riduan Abdul Jalil, walked home with an Audemars Piguet 8-day power reserve Desktop Clock. Oliviero Bottinelli, the effervescent Managing Director of Audemars Piguet Asia was ever-present throughout the week to host the festivities.
