Golf Digest Singapore is the Official Magazine for the
“Golf Major of Asia" – the Barclays Singapore Open 2008

Singapore, 10 October 2008 – Golf Digest Singapore has been named the Official Magazine of the Barclays Singapore Open (BSO) for both 2008 and 2009. This partnership has come a year after SPH Magazines Pte Ltd (SPH Magazines) launched the premier magazine as the Singapore edition of Golf Digest, a Conde Nast publication.

The tie-up between Golf Digest Singapore and Barclays Singapore Open represents two preeminent brands coming together to promote the best of golf in Singapore. Golf Digest Singapore is associated with the world’s number one golf publication, while the Barclays Singapore Open is the richest golf tournament in Asia, and is fast building a reputation as being the “Major of Asia”.

With a total prize money of US$5 million, the Barclays Singapore Open is the Asian Tour’s richest golf tournament. This year, world number two Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els, two-time BSO champion Adam Scott, KJ Choi, and Darren Clarke will be on hand to provide thrills for the fans on the challenging Serapong Course at Sentosa Golf Club.

In addition, copies of Golf Digest Singapore will also be available in public areas and all hospitality tents during the event.
