![]() Looking Out For The Ladies
This association with the preeminent women’s professional team event comes just a year after SPH Magazines Pte Ltd (SPH Magazines) launched the the Singapore edition of Golf Digest, and will no doubt continue to build on the magazine’s status as the country’s premier golf publication. The tie-up between Golf Digest Singapore and Lexus Cup not only brings together two highly recognisable and respected brands in their respective industries, but also helps to promote women’s golf in Singapore. Mr Allen Loh, Managing Director of SPH Magazines, says: “There is little doubt that women’s golf is receiving increased attention lately, and Golf Digest Singapore is in a great position to help continue this trend in Singapore. We will be committing our vast resources to ensure the success of this tie-up, and in turn, would receive considerable and effective branding from being the Official Singapore Golf Magazine of Lexus Cup 2008.” Mr Robbie Henchman, Senior Vice President, IMG Asia-Pacific, organizers of the Lexus Cup series says: “IMG has enjoyed a good working relationship with Golf Digest Singapore since they launched in 2007 and we are delighted to have them as our local media partner this year for the Lexus Cup 2008. It is important for us to reach out to the right target audience and work with media that have the same passion and enthusiasm for the Lexus Cup as we do. We feel that Golf Digest Singapore shares these values and support the Lexus Cup by generating the right hype and awareness for their readers.” Lexus Cup 2008 is the fourth instalment of the Ryder Cup-style tournament between top golfers from Asia and the world. This year, the event will be held from 28 to 30 November at the Bukit Course of Singapore Island Country Club. Super “Seoul Sister” Pak Se Ri will return as captain of Team Asia, and the legendary Annika Sorenstam will once again lead Team International in what will be a clash of the best women golfers in the world on Singapore soil. In addition to a series of previews in the issues running up to the event in November, Golf Digest Singapore will have a special Lexus Cup 2008 page on its website www.golfdigestsingapore.com.sg where fans can log on each day to catch up on round wrap-ups, daily tournament blogs, leaderboard, and images from the day’s action. In addition, magazines will also be available in public areas and all hospitality tents during the event. As the Singapore edition to the world’s number one golf publication, Golf Digest, Golf Digest Singapore not only carries articles from the US issue, but also covers the whole gamut of golf from Singapore and the region. The monthly magazine covers a myriad of topics from current golf issues, news and tournament reviews, equipment, travel, and a host of lifestyle pieces targeted at the upwardly mobile market. ******************************************************** About Golf Digest About SPH Magazines Pte Ltd With a proven track record for sterling editorial content & award-winning designs, SPH Magazines raises the bar as a dynamic magazine publisher.
